it's not that they get long enough..it is that our attention span is too short for serious thought. and we love to hear ourselves talk. we think, piglet included, that the world needs to hear what earth shattering insight we have on anything from bolting routes to raising kids to cooking tofu. the ego is a strange master.

Yasmeen wrote:longlegsrule, I wasn't looking to get into a theological discussion. Your post just struck me as funny and ironic and I thought I'd dwell on it for a bit. Thanks!

And pigsteak, that's the most romantic thing you've ever said on this board! I guess there's just something about a guy saying the words "melt for the right woman."
I was answering Kiri too.
Thanks!

Sorry LLR, to answer your question I can make no definitive judgment as to either scenario because I am not Christian nor do I believe in any deity, therefore I have no solid opinion towards your query. I have nothing but respect for someone's right to believe in whatever they wish. But I just have no frame of reference to know if I would believe one individual VS a group in a matter of “faith”. I can however logically surmise that I would likely believe the party that had the most compelling empirical evidence whether such a party was an individual or a group

Why fight it...we are what we are and we should all try to make the best out of our most pronounced qualities, online or in person. Personally now that I have a better understanding of your sense of humor and have gotten to know CyberKipp a bit I find your posts typically entertaining and intelligent.
