Couple of things about Chainsaw: 1) It's a good route. It's a fun route. Waaaay better than Ale-8 and not even in the same category as Sex Farm (gimme a break). It's better than everything to the right of it on Undertow (and a few to the left, like Harvest for example). And I'd say it's the most famous/popular 12a sport route in the country... which is saying a lot. 2) People who say it's a "mindless" haul are 5.13 climbers who've done it a hundred times. Ask the poor guy who has thrown himself at it all season just how "mindless" it is.

I have to shake hands with a very dear friend of mine, whom I hope to introduce you to after dinner.'

Me. Right here. I'm the guy who has been throwing himself at Chainsaw all season. I still don't like it that much, although I wouldn't say it is completely mindless.
Sand inhibits the production of toughtosterone, so get it out and send.

That is fucking hilarious. Texas Chainsaw Massacre is "famous". Help me out Astroman what other routes are "famous"? You must spend a lot of time at the Load to think that it is the center of the climbing world and all other areas actually revolve around you.

Routes can be "famous" without being at "the center of the climbing world".

Famous routes at off the beaten path areas:
The Vampire, Tahquitz
More Monkey Than Funcky, Josh
Super Crack, Sky Top
Levitation 29, Red Rocks

yada, yada, yada....

I don't think that Astroman ever said that the lode is the center of the climbing world or that other areas revolve around him...
