My interest in climbing has grown stronger in the last couple of months than it has been in sometime, going out this summer was tough, overweight, poor conditioning, of course hot and humid, my performance was as expected dismal, it has rekindled the fire to get stronger, improve and enjoy the diversity of movement and position, I see the analogy Christ made to his followers to come with the intensity of a child to learn and grow.

I owe my love for outdoors climbing to SikMonkey...who took me under his wing about a year ago...I'd climbed outside twice before that...both about a year apart. I just decided one day I was going to climb...so I walked into CT Lex and bought a pair of shoes. In only a year of climbing I have climbed in some pretty wonderful places with some pretty cool people...Vedawoo, Moab, HP40, Rocktown, Bishop, Joe's Valley, Boulder, Yosemite...climbing gives me the excuse to travel and be outside...
oh...I guess I should give a lot of credit to air canada too....
thanks guys!!

I was brought to climbing and the Gorge about 14 yrs. ago by Martin Hackworth as part of the deal 'teach me to ski and I'll teach you to climb!'. This led to a 5 yr. partnership with 'Manimal' Keith Phelps, about 10 yrs. with T-Bone, 2 yrs. with Paul Heist, who died sport rapelling at Eagles Nest in 2000' and the rest of the past 12 yrs. being caught and followed by Stacia. Climb Safe!
