Hey Willy...Fuck You and Muir Valley. My bitching is far from ignorant, rarely spontaneous regardless of how it comes off to you, and actually quite informed. Everything I post is meant be read and I couldn't give two fucks less if Muir Valley is closed to climbing. Eat a dick you giant pussy.

I think there's been some good discussion on this thread (Stix aside!), including comments on the limitations of the current FoMV website. A new website is in the works and will be rolled out in a week or so. The goal is for it to be a lot more informative and interactive.

I donate to Muir Valley every year in the hopes that it will stay open and the people that frequent it will not disperse into the rest of the area.
It seems so very fitting that the safety sheriff is such a big fan of the place...

I am a fan of sustainable climbing in the Red, which happens to include Muir Valley. Thanks for donating and those that have recently stepped up.

Yo stix, don't hold back and tell us how you really feel!
I love how the article talks about all the safety shit... Does it prevent any accidents? I was looking at the 2012 AAC accident report and I think Muir vally had like 6 stories! It may have been the most in one area that year! What is going on...
But, I can see how there quick reponse has saved a life or two, but pervention is always the better option.

MV has by far the most visitors, I doubt the per capita accident rate is much higher than other areas. Gumbies do however tend to flock there...
Nobody wants to be involved in a climbing accident...but I sure would be thankful for the emergency response at MV.....
