Meaning setting up, taking down for shows, and concerts. it is an easier job to get being a climber since there is a lot of rope work and you are kinda high up. I have a lot of friends in area that rig. It pays really really well from what I hear.

the Mormons aren't that big of a deal. You notice them cause their influence is everywhere but it doesn't get in the way much. Getting beer here is much easier than it is in Slade and easier than any "moist" county in Kentucky. Grocery stores in KY don't sell anything but beer, same as in Utah except the beer is a bit week(4% by volume, 3.2% by weight). If you want good beer, the state run liquor stores are well stocked and have decent hours plus any climbing trip out of state generally involves stopping off for good beer.

I don't know too much about getting a job, the one job I've had since being here it wasn't an issue. I didn't end up liking my LDS boss much but that had nothing to do with his religion.

Dude, if you haven't checked it out yet, Epic Brewing Company is the shit in SLC. Full strength, locally crafted beer. Blows Squatters and Wasatch away.

Epic beer is a treat but I need to be careful with that stuff.

Well this has been settled. I got a job in Richmond, Ky. and will start next week. Thanks to everyone for the advice and info. It came down to either Vegas or the Red, and my job search in Vegas didn't turn up anything. Obviously, the best part about all of this is that I will never have to drive through the entire state of Ohio to go climbing, ever again.

congrats, but if you climb at lion's head someday you may indeed drive clear thru Ohio again.....

Oh man I want to go to Lion's Head!!! Damn job, had to cancel our trip.... these nice temps here though have made staying around more tolerable tho.

Speaking of Ohio, it sucks. Also, I feel that Ohio drivers are under the impression that they can only receive tickets from Ohio state troopers since they barrel down I-75 at around 188 miles per hour. Either that or they're just so giddy to escape Ohio that they forget to lay off the gas.
