Beleive it.. i really thought it was a joke. I mean how can you arrest me for PI and i have an unopened bottle!!
If this was the city im sure it would have gone a little better.. But this is the woods in the middle of KY.. they are not regular cops.. federall marshalls they can pretty much do what they want..
i have talked to a few cops and attorneys.. they all agree it was wrong and i could have refused a search.. but this was more like getting robbed in the hood or something crazy out of a movie.. i was kinda scared and didnt trust em at all..

all that being said i still love the gorge and have not stopped anything i do,except camp anywere with in 2 miles of a road
i havent had any problems in the last few years.. But i see the same 2 cops all the time.. makes me want to spit on em every time i see em. watch your self out there.. Because they are !!!!

Had to pay a $75 ticket for not putting the date on my pass. Went to court with proof that I had purchased the tag that day, and they still wouldn't toss the ticket. Was three days late on paying the fine and federal marshal came to my house to arrest me. Luckily, I was out of town and paid it online. Still had to call the marshal , after he had made another visit to my house, and give him all of the confirmation of payment info.
I still don't understand why my federal taxes don't buy me the right to sleep in the woods but do pay some fat ass choad a nice salary to play gestapo.

I've never been fined or arrested at Miguel's or Linda's. Just sayin'.

must have probable cause and an articulable suspicion. That means that they must be able to say what they are supposing you are doing wrong that allows them to seach you. Smelling smoke at a camp site isn't probable cause. open display of beer cans (open container law) allows them to take your beer and maybe ticket you. It doesn't allow them to carte blanche search your body or your vehicle. I would go fishing at millcreek lake and put my beer on a long stringer and hang put it out in the water where it wasn't visible. I would set far enough away from it that I could deny it was mine if the inevitable prick showed up. Best thing to do is not hang out at cop hang outs.

Clevis is correct, but the problem is when the law enforcement and courts don't care about your rights. (aka minority rights for the last bazillion years)

Should this thread be moved to the rage forum...I started it just to find out if the shop was open and now it has over 1000 views and has nothing to do with the posted topic haha.
