Sharp and serrated. Apparently this is not the first generation of draws on CB6 either. Steel is really not the ultimate solution to this issue... we need an even harder metal to resist this Corbin sand... or continued hypervigilance and biennial replacement on high-traffic draws... or no fixed draws. At least with aluminum they "look" scary and are easy to take down.
Also I have noticed a lot of folks, typically new to outdoor climbing, don't really make the connection between dirty, sandy ropes and blown-out, sharp ass fixed gear... as usual, education at the gym/guiding/instructional level would help.

Climb2core, you were the one that started this thread about bad biners on Cell Block. Wouldn't you already know the state of them?climb2core wrote: What was the state of them?

I didn't inspect them closely as I climbed. I noticed some wear but did not run my finger along the edges or rotate around to look at biner from all sides. They sound worse than my cursory view gave.vertical1 wrote:Climb2core, you were the one that started this thread about bad biners on Cell Block. They were pretty bad, hense I flipped them till I could get a chance to replace them. Crazy that these are not the original steel permas on Cell Block.

Yeah, that and the fact that they were wearing at some of the easier sections where you would not be weighting the rope as much... Oh, and I do remember seeing a sharp edge and very worn biner on the 5th bolt which was what prompted me to contact Rick and make this post. But thanks for flipping them to make safer and bring attention to it.
