I see what you mean. With the rings in their present state my reflex would've been to simply add biners to the rings so the rings stop deteriorating. I know it sorta defeats the purpose of rap rings, but isn't the point to make the anchors last as long as possible?
With the rings used more than 50% I would've probably done the same thing but I would have also reported the need to remove the rings and use the biners instead. Makes sense?
