sooooo, by finding a niche you mean those folks who couldn't do squat in life found climbing and were able to be "somebody"

i've watched many a climber try their hand at other sports or activities and have understood why they climb. once again, they aren't curing cancer, they aren't doing anything major, they are just climbing a rock. whoopee!!

one-fall be the first, ive seen you climb, yer bad-ass AND i'd totally want you on my side if there was a barfight.

once again, i'd rather be mediocre at climbing but able to do many other things.
put some ass behind scrawny.

I spent years wrestling, fighting and powerlifting, resulting in my 5'11" 200lb. frame. I can cut down to 175 in about three weeks, but I feel so much weaker in general that it hurts my mental game while climbing.

Honestly it never occurred to me that there was a "glass ceiling" for 200 pounders. I just figured that it would take a lot more work to get where I want to be, that's all.

I would be curious though to hear about the training regimen of an elite (5.13+) climber who was 200+.

They don't play good basketball, but they make great basketball coaches.

hell darios not have bad for a tahitian kid.
shit have you ever seen the old photos of yaniro and those guys?? they were HUGE and setting the standard of the day even today. if they had all the advantages of stick rubber, state of the art sports equipment, a generation before them doing what they did and having shown the way for youth climbing leagues and soccer moms crushing 13s.
its the drive, the fight, the want.

Steve Nash anyone. He will probably go down as the best point guard ever. 2 MVP awards, 6 all star games, and 3 times NBA all first team.

Dirk?
