Again, you miss the point. I'm asking how would you attack any problems of this scale other than with government direction?
Nothing pisses me off more than people bitching and moaning and accusing and saying there's no way that will work without providing an alternative option for how things may work better.
If option A sucks, step up with option B. You got not alternative, keep your pie hole shut. It's that simple.

they
are all involved...it's pretty much just the United States that's resisting from a unanimous consensus..
maybe US just has some innate wisdom from which the rest of the planet's people are blind.

Option B- take gov't out of the equation. how's that for a rational solution? sometimes doing nothing is better than spinning our wheels.

option b - if you live in LA - learn to swim*
Greenhouse gas, solar flares, gods wrath over gays in the army, or just normal climate cycles, it doesn't really matter. We are still fucked. And, there isn't a thing that can realistically be done, other then try to mange our adaption to the change. The people doing the heavy thinking are in the military, as the shit is going to hit the fan, and it should be interesting to see how it all shakes out. Time to renovate the 50's nuclear bunkers and be sure to add plenty of zombie killing LPs!

Are you clueless? China, India, and Australia have rejected it. None of the developing word is going to accept any of these restrictions. The only significant countries that do support this BS are European.

If you are for this cap & tax shit, you'll realize as soon as it's implemented that this is not the solution to the 'problem'. We have little to no control over the planet's climate. Nothing we can do will stop climate change; the sun is just too huge a factor. The whole idea of man-made global warming is bullshit and nothing more than a means of trying to scare us into being ok with getting taxed on ALL CO2 emissions. That will get expensive pretty quick. So let's forget about climate change. If you want to reduce your pollution levels, modify your car to run on something clean. Build a shit ton of magnetic generators and power your house with 'em...there are patents for a bunch of different free, or nearly free (I'm sure they all take at least a little bit of energy to get started up) energy generators. So if you really want to make a difference in saving the planet, build some clean energy stuff like that for yourself--God knows the U.S. (and probably the soon-to-be world government) will not be putting clean generators out there en masse until the people in seats of political power get our government out of the shackles of debt to the banking oligarchy that really calls all the shots here. I just hope that's possible.

There are too many of us. We need to find a humane avenue to decrease world pop. We collectively have to have few kids over the next 150 years. If we don't start this process/ discussion yesterday we are going down the shitter quick. There is no silver bullet.
