really? why? do you have any reasons for this?
Restop 2 uses a patented "bag within a bag" design to safely contain and neutralize human waste. The outer bag is a Mylar gas-impervious bag which will contain the odor as well as the waste. Inside the bag is a powder, a polymer/enzyme blend, that biodegrades and gels the waste, giving it EPA approval for landfill disposal. Restop 2 provides an inexpensive and effective means to "pack it out" and comply with the outdoor ethics of Leave No Trace.

The Friends of Indian Creek and the Access Fund were distributing this video for a while a couple of years ago:

They also have wag-bag stations with donation boxes around the canyon. Perhaps a wag bag station/donation box very very near the motherload crag (not in a parking lot) would facilitate both use and help to deter theft. Having Miguel stock such items as the wag-bag or rest stop would also help. They'd have to be displayed prominently though, as part of an information campaign.
Communication is a big facilitator, even at well publicized areas like IC. My last trip out there I convinced someone who had been climbing in and around Moab for over 30 years to use his first Rest-Stop bag. He had just never heard of the program before. Maybe we have Spencer Victory but together an information video specific to the Red? Show it at all of the upcoming fund raisers and post it both here and on YouTube.

Oh, sorry for the confusion, I reread what I posted and see how it could be misunderstood.
To clarify, what I meant was for someone or a group to collect the wag bags themselves in a larger container and try to do something with them. If you are comfortable using and packing out a wag bag, do it! It is certainly the best way to go. But, the suggestion was to collect them in a garbage bag and throw it out weekly.... seems like a bad idea to me.
Edited to add: W00t on the 1000th post!

I say drop the wag-bags off at Miguels. They then go into his garden as nutrient rich human fertilizer. When the resulting veggies are harvested, we gumbies will naturally consume these in our pizzas. Providing the wag-bags came from ML(mother load?), we can hope that our bodies will be nourished and grow to take on the attributes of all of the elite sport climbers that are unreservedly defecating in their playground.

y'all got it wrong..people need to keep crapping where they like, so the crags become so gross that most gym bred climbers will stay home..that is the best way to thin the crowds.

Yeah cause recycling and trash collection isn't enough of a challenge for him. It's bad enough he has to clean up trash from people that don't even eat there, you want him to clean up the poop too?

i was with meadows when this poo conversation ensued...
1. i've taken to using tee-pee rather than the "drip dry" method in recent years, so if i disappear and come back in two minutes, it was just #1
2. i know part of what we discussed was the tp/tampon/etc. problem. people, even if you lack the decency to shit in an appropriate location, please hike the accessory waste products out, at the very least. where do you think that stuff goes? it does not biodegrate overnight (even the hippie stuff).
3. sometimes, ya just can't hold it. i get a little anxious when i sport climb. pair this with a little cup 'o joe in the morning, and sometimes shit happens (literally). ya can't always time it just right.
4. i'd happily carry my own shit out in a bag. to me, that really does make the most sense in terms of "leave no trace." however, i think fellow crag-ers would like me best if i find one that does not stink so much (as josephine said). in the meantime, i definitely go as far off as possible to do the deed, and bury, bury, bury to the best of my abilities...

Actually Tank, this has been a conversation over some time with quite a few individuals ... proud to say. I have a wag bag for you to try, btw.
If people don't want to haul out poo, that's fine ... that is not really my goal. It does take responsibility to the highest level, but we can start small. Carrying out waste such as TP and used tampons is the first order of business, as well as strategically placed "dumps". We can start by piling brush into a certain spot at the Lode.
I'm bringing some of the ideas to fruition (tshirts, pamphlets and stealth video cams - OK kidding on the cams) so we'll see where this goes.

For interested people, here is how to make your own "pack out kit":
