I was rapping off a ridge years ago and started down and noticed my 8 ring in my hand but not clipped to my belay loop, and this accident reminds me of Jeff Hughes tragic fall years ago- be careful things happen so quickly

Honestly, I could care less if someone is pissed at me or thinks I am a busy-body old woman. If I see unsafe stuff I will generally say something. I try to be as pleasant and nonthreatening as I can be but a person's safety is more important to me than whether they like me.

People are often plagued with fear of what others may think of them. We taught a guy how to give a soft catch once at Military. He wasn't that receptive in that moment, but a year later, he thanked me.
