Uhhh look at the poll, the vast majority say it was a bad idea. Id say thats a consensus.

con·sen·sus/kənˈsɛnsəs
1.majority of opinion
No need to read through all 23 pages of this thread... just look at the poll. By definition, 61% in favor of perma-draws, means that a consensus has been reached (at least a consensus of people that use this website, which would include you and a good number of the rest of the draw stripping crew)... and the consensus is to leave the perma-draws up.
Just because the consensus doesn't agree with your opinion, that doesn't mean that a consensus hasn't been reached... it has, so it's time to move on. If you want to spend the rest of your life chasing after people that are hanging draws on any route except for a route in the cave (which is hypocritical, because if you strip everything else, then you might as well as strip the cave too...), then be my guest... my guess is that you get pretty worn out pretty quickly.
Instead of fighting it, Cletus, it's time to move on. Perma-draws are going to be hung... so it's not a matter of do we strip them or not... its a matter of how do we manage the perma-draws. Now, I've posted a new thread called "The List"... if you like to be productive to figuring out how to manage the perma-draw situation, then please join in... if not, then fine, keep running this rat race and keep running around like a chicken with your head cut off trying to keep everything stripped. You guys stripped, what, a dozen routes? And less than a week later half of them already have aluminum up on them. Now you're telling me you're going to go strip everything else except for the cave... that's hundreds of routes, buddy, you're never going to keep up with keeping them all free from draws...

It would make my year to see two dudes going at it over pre-hung draws.

it seems to me people are pissed off that their poll has been taken away (ie played out), and, since i'm curious, why is it that the prospect of a ~mile long cliffline, essentially an equivalent of the Endless Wall of the New, doesn't interest people? so, meta poll time-should PD poll be taken down? what would replace it? how many options should it be if it were to be?

Your parents would be so proud. You finally made it kid. I guess if you can't be noticed for your climbing abilities then do something stupid and people will know you. Hell, up until this thread I didn't even know you existed.

Im sorry would everyone like the aluminum draws to stay up there? The PDs were removed, Hugh called for a community meeting, not one person at the meeting was for rehanging the PDs. If you didn't attend the meeting because you thought it was stupid then call for another meeting and I'd be happy to attend. I'm volunteering to keep the undertow free of aluminum draws. Would anyone else like to help? Expressing your opinion in an online forum is a start if its constructive. So far I've found that those who did not attend the meeting because they didnt think it would be productive are the people leaving the least productive posts on this thread.

Um, multi-billion dollar decisions are made through the use of the interwebs. Do I really need to smell a human to make a decision? If it hasn't' been made clear through my unproductive posts then I (Ray Ellington) vote that stripping people's project draws as well as the steel permas most of us paid for is not cool.
