Recently read "Far Appalachia: Following the New River North" by Noah Adams. This book takes the reader on a journey through history from the source of the New River to its end. An enjoyable read if you are interested in the New River Valley or Appalachian culture.
Also, "Violence of Action" by Richard Marcinko. Another gruesome tale of military might by the rogue warrior and founder of Seal Team VI. There was an interesting part about the torturing of terrorists.
Currently reading "Living Buddha, Living Christ" by Thich Nhat Hanh. A sometimes dry discussion of differences and similarities between Christianity and Buddhism.

I just started reading "The Grizzly Maze" by Nick Jans this book is about the life and times of Timothy Treadwell the idiot/genius who moved up to Katmai National Park, Alaska from southern California to escape drugs and alcoholism to live each summer amongst the grizzly bears of Katmai's coastal region. There was also a movie that was released a year or so ago called "Grizzly Man" that attempted to also tell the story of Timothy Treadwell, I recommend watching it for it's comedic aspects. I don't know if Timothy Treadwell was an idiot or if he just had big cohones...you decide???

"The Tipping Point" by Malcolm Gladwell. Not your typical storyline, but a lot of interesting social experiments.
