Wow, so I haven't been climbing much the last few months, or on RRC site, due to putting all my time in with the police academy. I graduated last week and got on the site today for the first time in months and I read this. Really guys, WTF.. What a bummer. I had some unfinished business at Roadside and was looking forward to getting back on my route but not now. Leave it to a few to ruin it for many. Good work... However, I don't blame them for shutting the shit down. Rules are rules people, lets follow them. Damn, feels like a hot girl just broke up with me or something haha.. I'm really bothered by this..

To be clear, none of the grievances the landowners aired last month in this thread (permadraws, dogs, and hammocks, although the date of installation of the chosspile new "route" remains unclear) are specifically listed in the Graining Fork NP rules:

http://www.gfnp.org/Site/Welcome.html

That said, obviously there were some boundaries of decent behavior transgressed that led to this sudden and unexpected closure, and we as a community failed to anticipate and prevent this from happening. Of course, closure is fully the legal right of the landowner, and it is unfortunate that relations got to the point that such a drastic measure were necessary. I sincerely hope that the situation will improve soon and know that the RRG community is standing by to do whatever work necessary to help the landowners return and maintain the Preserve in the condition they desire.

maybe if we close muir and pmrp for a full fall climbing season the masses would get over the red and the future would be a more managable size of dipshits and dog owners.
