You already said you take supplements. You're sounding like a politician.

[I think I've posted this before - sorry] A study done recently at Purdue University tied artificial sweeteners to weight gain. The reason? Our bodies have evolved to get the metabolism ball rolling when the brain gets a sweet signal. The brain expects calories to follow, but when they don't (because artificial sweeteners are no calorie), the brain slows down the metabolism. Not good when the real calories that follow are a Hardees "Thick Burger."

the only thing I have used that verges on cheating would be Pseudo ephedrine. Then it only gave me a little edge because I was really close to doing the route. It did increase the snap a tad.
Creatine works too.

Lurk, doesn't creatine cause water retention which leads to additional weight?

I know that I have mentioned Ultra Fuel http://www.twinlabfuel.com/wcm/mb/fuel/ ... /index.jsp on here before. It is the only thing that I have found that meets Horst's requirements for glycogen replacement. If you are truly climbing / training in a power mode you need to replace glycogen to prevent your muscles from being catabolized.

I've read that small amounts of it when taken at the appropriate time can be beneficial to climbers without causing any significant weight gain. I think there was an article in climbing about it sometime in the last year or two.

you guys are all friggin pussies. Just eat some chicken, eggs, and once in a while some red meat and a bunch of veggies. All those stupid supplements do is make you grow titties and make your voice higher. Just eat healthy and keep doing what your doing and you'll be stronger than ever. Supplements are for bitches!! unless its alcohol and hookers

Yes! It works because it tastes like medicine.
