Oh yeah not to mention the shit I got from that chick I slept with in the back of Miggies. Luckily that only cost me the price of the antibiotics

Krampus, I'll bring the moving truck and we'll shack up at the Caribe estate.

I just calculated that in my Civic, the current $0.50/gal increase in gas prices has added a very negligible amount to the cost of a trip to the Red. So, at the moment, gas prices haven't really affected my weekend climbing.

I do find, though, that over the winters I get into the habit of not going to the Red, and it takes a full weekend of nice weather to break that habit. The way it usually goes is that I'll make it down the first few cold weekends as winter sets in, then it'll get cold enough that I know I'll have more fun if I stay home with David and my family, then I start really enjoying all the stuff I can do on the weekends if I don't go to the Red and cold weekends or day trips due to sporadic nice weather suddenly don't seem worth it anymore, then the weather turns beautiful and I remember how much I love climbing outside all weekend and the people I get to spend time with because of it and I fall into the pattern of coming down every weekend. And it all repeats again the next winter and, over the course of a year, keeps life in a really cool and fun balance.

Piggie - a gym with walls as high as some outdoor routes helps with the whole balance thing. Or maybe it just helps keep the balance skewed enough in the direction of climbing that everything seems okay...

i relate to that! I might start driving our 89 civic down. it is really cheap on gas but limits where i can go and has no air, radio, and is so close to the ground i almost gotta lay down to get in. Maybe collect dollars from carpooling friends before they get in - just a flat 20 bucks or leave 'em bitchin :) to hell with that old "this piece of pizza is my gas comtribution" shit. I miss my climbing family too Dipsi

Hope you don't mind caribe, and just so you know my dog can only sleep in the bed of the master bedroom. Otherwise she feels unimportant

You dirty man! I'm a 16 year old girl!

But wait, now that I've considered it, I'm still in, so long as it's my bed that we share. . . And my parents are cool with it.
