You know what I really hate is when people bring their insects to the crag. The little bastards are always buzzing around and screwing my concentration. I also hate it when people bring the damn heat and humidity. Even friggin July and August, here they come making to rock all greasy. But you know what really pisses me off, besides the fact that Lucky keep trying to hump Jake, is when people bring their whiny ass attitude to the crag. If you want to climb in a sterile "climbing friendly" enviroment find a gym.

I don't own one so I don' t bring one to the crag. IF I did than I'd be a responsible pet owner....whatever that means. For the most part I've found dogs at the crag to be a pain in the arse.

I'm with all the dog lovers out there! Boo is coming to the crag for her first time this weekend. She went hiking out on the ridge above Frenchburg Overhang a couple weeks ago and loved it. Saturday, she learns about being a climbing pooch. Hope to see some of you out there!

Youre right HJ7. I shouldnt worry about things that annoy me. I might as well leave my trash all around. And bring my boom box. Aslo next time i take a crap I'll take it wherever i want instead of some place hidden. after all it doesnt need to be too nice.

That's the spirit Darmo. Don't stand on convention. Just start your own annoying trends and when enough people are sick of it, they'll hunt you down and kick the crap out of you! That solves everything. It's way better than bitching and complaining.

I Love dogs (owned one until it died some years back)...I love playing with other people's dogs and I haven't met a dog yet that didn't like me. I love everything ABOUT well behaved dogs.

2 items:

1)Keep it on a leash (I think someone at Left Flank 2 weeks ago had his rope pissed on by some unknown, wandering dog).

2)Clean up it's poop.

That's all...seems pretty simple to me and everyone is happy.

We had a German family with 3-4 adults and as many children under the age of 4 arrive next to us at Torrent yesterday and their kids were actiing like dogs...wandering, exploring, pouring dirt on Sik's dog (which, BTW, was on a leash 'binered to a root), playing right where we had dropped the rope/tarp just and generally being kids while the family just looked at them.

Uh, no. I truly love kids, but this is a classic case of poor offspring management. The youngest kid was trying his damndest to cover Rocket in sand, and the other two were piling up excavating toys right under our belay. They were all under three years old and acting accordingly, but the parents just stood there with the classic "aren't my kids cute?" look while I was trying to round them up and at least get them out from under Corey's feet. The whole lot (parents and kids alike) was kicking up such a dust storm that I couldn't even see the ground from the middle of the climb. If you think chalk dust in a gym is bad, you should have seen this.
