I'm going to have to second Andrew. I check this site about once ever few weeks, just to make sure no one has died, to check on road 9, and to see what new routes are up. Other than that the only thing on this forum is a group of frustrated men acting like teenage boys. I wish the moderators (if they even exist) actually did their job. Notice that we never see anything about people bithing about being censored...and also notice that the quality of input to the site has severely declined...
That's why I'm hardly ever here, and I know a dozen people who quit being interested in the site for the same reasons. Some quotes:
"The only thing on that forum is a bunch of boys picking on each other" -Anon
"Anytime anyone asks a real question, they get ripped on" - Anon
"Its funny how people who have a potty mouth think it imbues them with writing ability" - Anon
"I quit going on that site...just too much back biting and bitching" -Anon
These are just a few things that people have said to me about the forums.
I think it is a crying shame that Ray and Michelle put the time, energy, and money into keeping this site running so that a bunch of men can act like little boys, talking about gay sex, genitals, and poop.
That's my 2 cents, and btw, I mean every word.

Pete, we do sometimes mod stuff, but we are not babysitters. From the forums I have been on over the years, this one strikes a great balance between serious and not serious. We are not rc.com, just like we are not b.com.
Like much in life, this site is what you make of it. If you only focus on the (in your mind) bad, then you miss what is good. And, while I don't exactly need too much beta on climbing in the red, rarely does a day go by where this site doesn't at least give me a laugh or two. Or maybe even makes me think about something a little bit more or differently then I had. And that usually makes up for reading through some of the less important, to me, posts.
PS, It is easy to ban you if you lack the self control to stop visiting. But, just like everyone one else that "quits", I will see your account, hidden of course, logging in still.
Perhaps we should just disable new posts for a week or two. Keep the online guide and PM's working, just set the forums to read only for a bit. Might help with those "spend less time on rrc.com" new years resolutions that I am sure plenty of people made.

Sorry, Pete you are not with Andrew on this one. He
LOVES this site. I can totally understand why you would think he was serious.
Since you found those little pearls of wisdom by Mr. Anon. I thought I would also do some dumpster diving. Look what I found.

I really hate it when people people bitch about this forum. Go the hell away if you don't like it. Or continue to take what you want from it and ignore the rest. Or, now here's an idea I don't see you being capable of implementing, try to improve it with what you consider higher quality posts/topics.
Personally I think it is just fine and that you truly are a whiney bitch. Actually it is better than fine--a good combination of what is almost always GOOD NATURED ribbing, "other" topics (some serious, some not), and serious climbing talk. If people want heavily moderated sugar coated BS, that's what rockclimbing.com is for. This BBS is for the RRG climbers, it always has been, and we are who we are. We are climbers ferfuksake.
Oh, and Andrew, only boring people are bored.

Ah, thanks for the 'Good natured ribbing," Pru. I can see you truly embody that ideal.
I'm sure you will completely understand what I am saying, in your truly infinite wisdom.
Oh, and Wes, remember that there are two people in this house that use this site, don't assume both are me.

I guess you missed the "almost always." There's nothing good natured about it when people deserve it.

Boy, that explains everything. And I can see why the web site sucks to him/her. Not enough like-minded people to relate to.
