Barbaric may have been a poor choice in words, our sophisticated weaponry outsloughters any suicided bomber's feeble attempt at murder. I do hope that day is right when he thinks that america is going to get better, but its not likely going to happen until we help the people in america get better, rather than throw mud in the face of other countries. When the quality of life is ok for even the poorest of americans, then america will be better. When I can once again look foreigners in the eye and be proud to say I am from america, then we will have gotten better.
So the bloodiest year in Iraq is comming to an end, lets hope the trends that day has pointed out continue.

An honorable statement krampus, I'm more/less with you.

I will say, though, that we take steps to avoid innocent civilian casualties. Does it happen, of course. We could do better, and we could certainly do a lot worse considering the technology we're packing.

The other guys, however, specifically target innocent folks. What would they do with our technology if they had it?

Krampus sez "our sophisticated weaponry outsloughters any suicided bomber's feeble attempt at murder."

So, when a U.S. lazer guiided weapon takes out a known, and specifically targeted terrorist, with little or no loss of innocent life, that's "slaughter", but when a suicide car bomber kills something like 180 worshipers in an attack on a mosque, that's a "feeble attempt at murder"? Yeah, right. Like the very fact that U.S. troops are so good at what they do "proves" they're evil. While our enemies efforts at mass murder are so "feeble" that we should feel sorry for them or something. Jeez.

I know there's little point in wasting any time on Krampus and Evil, but I'll continue to point out the positive trends in Iraq for the benefit of anyone else who might be interested.

Here's one for you: http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20071107/wl_ ... Qkfo5X6GMA

The good general thinks the progress is real, is not the result of ethnic cleansing, is sustainable, and will lead to a decreased need for American troops. Oh yeah, he also says al Qaeda has been responsible for most of the big car bombs. Maybe he needs to get on the horn to Krampus and Evil, so they can set him straight.

Yesterday president Sarkozy spoke at the French embassy in Washington. Powerline blog said - "Practically the first words out of Sarkozy's mouth consisted of an affirmation that the old days of a French government hostile to the U.S. are over, to be replaced by an era of cooperation. His second words were a reminder of all America has done for France. In both cases, he received applause from his French audience"

That didn't take long, now did it? Hold yer head up little feller, and go proudly into the world.

Thats true, the W regime is on its way out, things may be looking up for us. Assuming the american voters don't vote in another war mongering dipshit instead of someone with Nobel peace prize potential.

don't get too excited. Either Guiliani or Shrillary will usher in the next 4 years of more of the same, or Dubya will follow in his buddy Mussharef's footsteps and there will be no election. Pakistan = test run?

Take your soon-to-be-worthless money out of the bank in ones. You'll need it for use as toilet paper.

Let me translate that into French for y'all:
Yuuu ave lost zee poodel zat wuz zee Tohnee Blair. Fear not, Gorgee! Eet izz I 'oo izz zee new poodel!

There will be no reasonable check on this administration's stupidity from Paris anymore. Mock the 'old' French, but they were right (albeit for many wrong reasons) about invading Iraq. (The French largely opposed the invasion to protect their own financial interests, while the US was heavily motivated by the prospect of enhancing their own financial interests. At the same time, France has better connections in the middle east and had their own experience with the illegal invasion and occupation of a muslim country, Algeria. Not surprisingly, it was a nasty mess that resulted in the deaths of many civilians and the occupiers were driven out. Hmmm... learning from history. What a crazy French concept!)

Enhancing thier own financial intrests? By going trillions in debt? I don't think so. The only thing enhanced is the technology to wage war.

And this is the risk you run by not paying attention. Ynot, only the taxpayers lost trillions...
