Or better yet, don't bring a dog that is known to be mean. If you do, tie it up 300 feet from the main trail so no encounters happen. Sorry but my dog will eat your mean dog if she feels threatened, and unless I am at muir or close to where the climbers go twosies, she will not likely be on a leash.

I don't think people should leash children. And leashes don't solve a mean dog problem. I've seen leashed dogs bite adult people.

And when you bring a mean, biting dog to the cliff, do the people with a dog or child a favor and warn them. Better yet, muzzle him. There's no clearer warning than that.
how do you warn an owner when it's not around?

it's always tied off trail...because we know it doesn't like other dogs. It's nice to people. It may bark at you at first...but that's all talk. If you choose to have your dog off leash...fine...but keep an eye on it... it's your responsibility...not mine...to to know that your dog is safe.

Just for the record, Blue and esp. Solar were not there that day! They do pretty good as long as I bring their shock collars...

nice doggies will bite other nice doggie, it happens because they are doggies. sometimes nice doggies confuse little children as doggies and try to bite them too. oh and not everyone likes nice doggies being near them so please always have your nice doggie on a leash at the cliff even if that cliff doesn't have a leash rule...pretend its the future (say 2 years from now) and some cliffs are closed and all have leash rules.

screw you rhunt...how do you know what the mind of a nice doggie is thinking....what are you, a pet shrink? just because you are a hater, and have a pessimistic view and want all crags closed to dogs...don't bring that weak sauce to the table...there, I feel better.
