i've had 26 flights so far this year and haven't had a problem with delays. but last year it seemed like every time i flew it was a delay.
liat airlines suck.

Jill and I finally had a flight canceled on us Sunday night due to weather. But hey another day with our nephew and new niece was well worth missing a Monday at the 9 to 5! I pretty much approach flying as expect the worst and hope for the best. In the grand scheme of things as long as I arrive in one piece that is a good start.
I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.
on my way from dayton to denver everything said "on time" - but we didn't board until 30 minutes after "boarding time." once on the plane we were infomed that denver had "weather" and we had to sit on the plane on the run way for an extra 30-45 mins. ended up being about an hour late. hopefully today's trip will be better.

Have any other frequent flyers noticed a downhill turn in the airlines lately? I've been delayed for more than 2 hours on probably about 60% of my flights this year. I don't feel like it was like this a couple of years ago. Are things getting worse?

Recent news item says this is the worst year for delayed flights in a long time. I fly a bunch, too, and I've got one solid piece of advice for you. Try to avoid flights that go through O'Hare. It's got the worst record for delayed flights. I think a lot of that has to do with the wicked-assed weather they have in Chicago, but it might just be the volume.

Just started my first 2 hour delay here in atlanta. The only place in america I find less inviting than ohio. Admittedly though, the airport terminal is slightly better than their bus station.

I've flown down to Atlanta as a destination three times here recently. I haven't had any trouble with the flights but I have never seen longer lines getting through security than trying to get out of there on a Friday afternoon.

Delta's international flights are still pretty good - we got fed well and on the direct flight home (9.5 hours), we got 3 movies and a bunch of TV shows. Oh, and other important stuff - like the flight not being delayed - happened, too.

Yeah, flying into atlanta was not bad, we actually made it there fifteen minutes early. It was the extra 4 hours I spent there that got on my nerves. I have just never had any luck traveling through atlanta.Total Fucking Muggle wrote:I've flown down to Atlanta as a destination three times here recently. Amtrak. Ashland -> DC about 11 hours each way, but sprawled out in a sleeper car watching movies, the time passed quickly.
