Where does the word experienced exist in that quote? Gumbys learning from gumbys? When has that ever happened? (or is it Gumbi)

Toad, Where in his post does he say he's meeting up with gumbies? "Learning from" implies the people he's meeting has experience/knowledge. Whether they meet your standards or not, we cannot determine.
Feel free though to write up a checklist of "I know what I'm talking about" items. Let's see if I meet your standards the next time I belay ya.
pigsteak, still stuck on 90s slang? Punter hai re ekdum

Just as neophytes are more likely to get hurt b/c they 1. can't climb are weak and get pumped and fall 2. made crucial mistakes with their belay, gear, harness, etc 3. b/c they can't climb they tend to climb on the lowest angle slabs they can find, which happen to be cheese graters or ankle breakers and 4. tend to be taught by others that are barely moe experienced than they are ("Hey Y'all, watch this!")
