Sand inhibits the production of toughtosterone, so get it out and send.

Look's like you are right with the shirts but we need to remember that if we do give t-shirts, part of that membership donation will go to buying the shirt. Notice that the AF only gives you the shirt for $50 or more. Another option would be to have t-shirts and other things like hats available from a "store" area on the website.

right, of course. i have to admit, most of what i'm doing is modeled after the scc. they're been hugely successful and they have a pretty good system in place. for example, with shirts and memberships: $10 gets you a shirt (no membership), $25 gets you membership (no shirt), $35 and up gets you membership and a shirt (if you want it).

it's sort of like nike and reebok.. you take a little hit to get people out there with your logo, spreading the word without having to spread the word.. and you make people feel good about it and, at least in my opinion, help build the community.

That is true, but I would not take too much of a hit on the shirts, no one really expects to pay less than $15 or $20 for a shirt now a days. Wearing that shirt is more than just feeling like part of the community, it also shows that you help to support it. I proudly sport my AF shirt that I paid $50 for.

i'm not a tax expert, but i believe that it's $400 a year, not $500. re: $250, it's when you've made a donation of $250 or higher that you need a statement/letter from the organization you donated to that states the amount of your donation and the monetary value of anything you've received in return. you don't send that sheet in, but file it in case of an audit.

My bank let me set up a repeating payment to the coalition after logging into my account online. It didn't take longer than 5 minutes. Thanks for mentioning that option, Josephine and Bill. I wouldn't have thought of it otherwise.

Okay kids. Since this post on March 6 we have received $370. That's a terrific start but not nearly enough to make our payment.

Now there may be some contributions that were sent by U.S. Mail that we have not yet received or logged in. Still, we appreciate everything people can do to raise the remaining $14,630. $4,630 of that we hope to see by March 30 for the 5K match!

Thanks for everyone who donated and for everyone who will!
