Never climbed with Mason but I sure wish I had. We tried a couple of times, but I think Keeneland always trumped my requests. I dont remember exactly when we met--I think it was either in my 5th grade class or playing baseball on their street. He was a great guy and good friend. Your smiles will be missed Mason. I hope you have found peace. Ride that big golf cart in the sky and send hard--goodbye friend.

I can't believe he's gone. Rocktown was so fun with him. It's weird to think that I won't be able to laugh at funny stories with him anymore...

Goodbye Mason...

I guess I'll be the one to ask what everyone is thinking. What happened?

Once, years ago,I found a pair of size 10 climbing shoes underneath Wadcutter. They were Stewies. I think I got a couple biners for a reward. When I met Mason he was looped out of his gourd, but he wasn't the one puking in the yard. It's funny how I know so many climbers that I never actually climbed with. I feel for his rope mates and family. The sense of loss is the hardest thing to get over in life.

when asked to describe mason the first words that come to mind are always, smiling and laughter. he lived life large and was there to help you do the same.

there's never enough time to be able to make enough memories. hope to catch more with you next time around.

rest well, friend.

Knowing how he died might help save the life of someone else. It is kind of important.
