meadows has a really good point. It's the smoking part of smoking pot that is really bad for you. Brownies are the way to go.

You won't find cigarette smoke as a cause of death either, although it has caused the maladies that are often cited on death certificates.
Actually, cigarettes (the tobacco kind) are listed as the leading cause of lung cancer and heart disease. While I'm sure that smoking the equivalent of a pack of cigarettes as pot is bad for you, it is not as bad for you because tobacco is loaded with carcinogens. There are carcinogens created when burning anything but tobacco is chock full of them when it's just sitting there between your cheek and gum. So it's not a valid comparison.

Bob Marley died of lung cancer but he also smoked around an oz a day mixed with tobacco. There was a study done in England recently that showed a correlation between lung disease and smoking pot but the quantities that led to disease were really quite staggering. They also concluded that tobacco added to the pot (very common European thing) muddied the results.

My point is that pot in and of itself is one of the least dangerous intoxicants we have available. The history of why it's illegal is long and stupid (since it involves corrupt cops, politicians, racists, prohibitionists, and gangsters) and the result of drug prohibition in general has been to create a large group of criminals that really don't deserve time in a maximum security prison. Violence connected to drugs mostly involves the money it's worth on the street because you can't get it legally and cheaply. I say let people grow pot for their own use. If they really want crack, let 'em have it. Give 'em a room to smoke it in and a pipe. When they decide they want a real life give them treatment. It would have to be cheaper than locking them up and then they wouldn't be breaking into my truck to steal my tools to buy a rock.

That's actually not verifiable. He died of cancer, but apparently there is as much info contributing that to a brain tumor and a soccer wound as anything related to his lungs. Some people believe the cancer would have killed him long before if the herb had not helped him move and live.......

In short, Marley got killed by life.

Love your days, every one of them. It's pretty clear to me at least that tomorrow is far from a guarantee. Sacrificing mental health for the false promise of a rest home is not a deal I want to take.

As much as I do hate to admit it though, there are some reports of pot being linked to head and neck cancer, but not nearly as related as tobacco and lung cancer. Either way, I am sure diet coke is worse for me than a doobie.
