I think that was a misunderstanding between the editor and me. He thought they were soft 5.12a lines so I think he put that sentence in there. I was just trying to make a list of the most popular 5.12a lines, not soft ones. I wouldn't get involved with making a list of soft lines, especially Bare Metal Teen. Maybe I did though. Who knows. That whole project was such a blurr.

gotta agree with Wes, for me personally, Chainsaw is much harder than BMT and probably the hardest 12a in the gorge

was on All Things Considered this weekend, definitely classic climbing that doesn't get well traveled

both BMT and Chainsaw are climbed often, but the conversation shifted to the inclusion of BMT on the misprinted "soft 12a" list, threads do occasionally wander

I wasn't saying BMT isn't pumpy, I just said in my opinion Chainsaw is more a sustained route
