i saw this old vid with dale bard's crack machine made out of 2X4s. maybe we could rig up a crack out of 2x4s and erect it in roughly the same place. it might even be better than the original...

If we make the new one more colorful, could we call it Spring?

actually the hike up there is a little long. maybe we could just erect it next to the road, if we did the same thing for rockwars we could save everyone a lot of pointless hiking.

why not take a jack-hammer to the rock and recreate it there.
"woody's" are so 1990s.

that doesn't solve the problem of the hike though...

maybe we could make a cast concrete version of it at miguels and cut the drive out too.

brilliant merrick! you should go into business. i was merely trapped in that mindset that only the only real climbing there is involves rock. and i still hold that true.
i bet we could hired someone to go and cut out a huge chunk of good sandstone an we could recast it from that.
think you could market the idea across the US. i mean autumn was a CLASSIC! i bet people from around the world would want in on the action.

Put the whole thing on a semi and take it around the country and charge 5 bucks to climb a Red River classic. We could donate 1/2 the procedes to Miguel's wayward boys or some other worthy charity.
