Do some manual counting:
Look at some of Ray's stats on each of the routes at roadside.
Find which ones got the most ascents.
Take the top 3 locations.
Plan out the best and most suitable anti-deterioration means.
Set a date.
Gather.
Place someone in charge of the plan.
Many hands make light work.
That's the only I could come up with after a long day of work. OH, yeah... and a VERY VERY BIG THANK YOU to both. AWOL belongs to me.
! Enough with all that detestation ALREADY !
Smile & be thankful for what you have.

Is that kind of like an altruistic act of selflessness?

Brought to you by the Department of Redundancy Department. :)

yeah, roadside is so 1999, and the lode is so yesterday.... where else can we (cough, cough) environmentally friendly climbers go to destroy vegetation with our pursuits?
Positive vibes brah...positive vibes.

Anyway, it would be great if we can get a work crew together. Perhaps the people with experience could get together, draw up plans, provide them to Grant and John for approval. Then, if you post the needed materials we could all pitch in to bring what we can.

I can provide a strong back, weak mind and a willingness to work. I don't know a thing about preventing erosion. I might be able to pick up some of the materials too.

This is an example of what I was referring to in regards to the use of geosynthetics in slope stabilization & erosion control: http://www.tensarcorp.com/index.asp?id=132

Oh shit, are you a frikkin' Tensar rep? (if you are, that's cool. Everybody has to work for somebody). Man, those SOB's tried their damnedest to go over the Transportation Cabinet's head to FORCE us to use them on road projects. Everybody has to have their piece of the pie I guess. Oh, don't forget the soil nails and retaining walls. Hell, while we are at it, how about some MSE walls? What's our budget? You give me enough money and I can find someone who can make the ledges at any cliff so indestructible, I couldn't even tear them up.... and I have been known to fuck up an anvil. :D

No I am not a sales rep, just a civil engineer w/expertise in geotechnical design using geosynthetics. What I have thought of looking into is getting some damaged or off-spec materials donated?

Captain Static,
I would be willing to lend a hand or two, as well as some Resources, trucks, caterpillar, etc... I just need guidance! You get the materials and I'll get whatever else you say we need.

I am just typing in this thread because I have had too much coffee and I can't stop.
I try to be a good man but all that comes
of trying is I feel more guilty.
