i used that excuse when my foot slid off a ramp on Too Many Puppies at the long crux move. i still don't know why the shoe split where it did. earlier on that same day i didn't send cause I somehow missed the three HUGE tickmarks and the HUGE clipping jug for the anchors. I fell one move away from the send, i was so bummed.

I don't know - having to poop is always a valid excuse in my book --- those early morning climbs...always seems I get to about the first or second bolt and have to come down...it's a distraction! On days where I am REALLY motivated and just want to get on a route first thing in the morning, I will even skip the usual coffee and oatmeal...hey it's something you have to plan for sometimes.
