Excuses, excuses, excuses...
i used that excuse when my foot slid off a ramp on Too Many Puppies at the long crux move. i still don't know why the shoe split where it did. earlier on that same day i didn't send cause I somehow missed the three HUGE tickmarks and the HUGE clipping jug for the anchors. I fell one move away from the send, i was so bummed.J-Rock wrote:Today I fell off of a route because the bottom of my shoe ripped open and created a huge hole as I was trying to step up onto a high foothold. Of course, I blamed it on the shoe (even though I probably should have been able to hang on).

I don't know - having to poop is always a valid excuse in my book --- those early morning climbs...always seems I get to about the first or second bolt and have to come down...it's a distraction! On days where I am REALLY motivated and just want to get on a route first thing in the morning, I will even skip the usual coffee and oatmeal...hey it's something you have to plan for sometimes.

What I love about running is you can meditate while running. It's a peaceful place.
