So it's got 2 good years left...or....wait....

1 fall? It's probably already fucked.

Lets just say that some of you dont want to fall on my project draws. But that is why they are project draws, makes you think twice about letting go cause it is hard.

They always say to be careful about gear that you don't know the history of or trust the person who owns it. I know a bunch of people whip on that stuff all day but it still makes me wonder if that draw maybe got dropped from the chains one day or who knows what.

The guy who taught me how to lead always said to replace load-bearing nylon of any sort every 4 years. He's also semi-affectionately known as the safety nazi, so....

Nylon breaks down under UV, so just lather it up with sunscreen every now and again. SPF 50 is great. If a biner gets grooved, just flip it backwards and it'll be ok.

Got a nice rush today when I noticed the *project* draw below me had it's gate stuck open, and the rope just sorta poped out. Funny part was I made a pretty hard move above it, and didn't notice until Meadows pointed it out to me afterward. Probably wouldn't have hit the ground, but it would have been pretty close and exciting!

You had the rush? Just think how freaked I was watching the whole situation and wondering if my math skills worked.
