You can climb all summer. In the cooler months you look for crags in the sun, in the summer you look for crags in the shade. If nothing else you will have a nice suntan on your back.

Additional gear for summer climbing: lotsa water, bug repellant, sunscreen and an ice cold six pack waiting in the tent or at home.
