Those new beers that are fortified with ginseng, caffeine and guarana are quite effective for breakfast.
Tastier than red bull too.

Centre is in Danville, which is 30 minutes from Lexington. Kinda a cool article, and the class sounds kinda cool as well.

Here are my suggestions:
First, don't put the beans in the fridge of freezer. It congeals the oils and you don't want that.
Buy the best beans you can find or afford. Try beans from different regions and with different roasts.
For about $80 - 120.00 you can get started roasting your own beans. I do this and am a big fan of home roasting.

Where do you get your beans? I don't live anywhere near civilization. Also, how do you roast the beans?

For beans I go with organic. Millstone has both a medium & dark organic roast. As mentioned in that FAQ, water quality is important. Tap water contains chlorine and that will combine with the organic matter in the coffee to produce carcinogenic trihalomethanes. Like the FAQ says at least use filtered water. I'll admit I use cincy tap water (it is filtered using granular activated carbon) but use a liquid water treatment supplement that nuetralizes the chlorine and also reduces the surface tension of the water to that of ethyl alchohol (for a better extraction). I never drank coffee before I started working for a company where it was part of the corporate culture.

Not drinking very much these days. It just seems to make me feel sluggish during the day. I think that is because I drink alot of caffinee during the day, and that big spike in the morning messes me up. So, a half cup at RRO is about it for me noe.
Same with Breakfast. Made me lazy and I seem to eat more then without. Execpt on climbing days, when a light breakfast seems to be OK. Not really helpful, but it doesn't seem to hurt.

wes i think you've made the classic error (only slightly less known than starting a landwar in SE Asia) of combining food with coffee.
just let the coffee go straight to the blood. no need to hide it behind all those empty food calories.
