Ahhh, meetVA, I seem to recall you huffing and puffing on the LW approach. Don't try to make it out like you didn't offer to let me pass you up.

By the way, I am the one who made a big deal out of the LW approach and it's true, I just like to complain........and, maybe I'm just terribly out of shape.

By the way, it was a delight climbing with you.

Im a complainer too, But if I remember right us MEN had to wait around for you ladies, and make sure that you could make it up the "steep aproach" ( I was there in case you needed me to carry you up the rest of the way). But anyways its late so im out a here.

And to respond to your Sig MeetVA, you know you liked checking out my little nuts, that you wish you could have

Andrew's sis--Sorry if you thought I was poking at you. You made the hike and I have nothing but props and respect for your excellent physique. I was referring to the whiners *oops, did I just type that, I mean climbers with other priorities* who didn't want to make the jaunt. Unfortunately physique has been greatly hindered by a misplacement of guilt. That isn't an explanation nor an excuse, I'm just, well, pathetic.

Plus, I don't recall you complaining too much...it may have been drowned out by the massive heart attack I thought I was having though...

allah--you "MEN" (and that term is very loosely used here) did not "have" to do anything. We women did not need for you to wait for us, Jackanap. We women were doing just fine without having to jump into the big-gear contest you "men" were in to reach the top. Oh, and was that you I saw sleeping half the day away?..huh.

Oh and PS--I'll take your little nuts, your big nuts, your tri-cams, your active gear and anything else I can get my hands on. They should all be in good shape considering you've never taken a fall on any of them!

 Damn!! That was good.

Sending that approach trail was one of my proudest moments that weekend! ... Even though it took me about 5-10 minutes longer than everyone else.

If you want a wickedly devious approach try Cochise Stronghold, AZ. One wrong move or turn and you are impaled by cacti.

Wouldn't have been much of a race, Meadows! Erynn, Virge, and I are all about the whole Tortoise and the Hare theme... minus the whole winning part.

you guys are a riot.

The only time I've been to Long Wall was in the middle of winter and I watched Andrew Gearing, crash pad on back, dissappear in a blur up into the forest...I was determined to make it to the top before Pimp...who smoked the entire way up, always best to stay in front of those approach smokers and I think I left Joe in my dust...which isn't saying much really, since once I did get to the top, Hamsco was already halfway up Rock Wars and Andrew had sent all the boulder problems in the area.

But, the pictures were worth it:

(the first five pics on the second link are from Global and I think I have the wrong climb listed...but after the Global pics are some stellar pics from Long Wall.)

Uh, hem? Miss Modest Mouse? I'll leave that at that.

Nice photography Spuzo! Are you sure you have to leave us for a few years? You'll definitely be missed.

What are we going to do for entertainment around here? I don't know if eating pizza at Miguel's competes with the late night poker challenge. Then again, although the woman could handle it, it did make the boys sleepy all through the next day *ahem, Allah, ahem*.

Yes, I have to say, though it was not with you virge, I did learn how to play texas holdem this weekend.

Thanks virge...I'll be around, don't worry, I'm like a bad penny, I always turn up. And hey, come visit!!!

And for Erynn's sake, I have to say when I saw her Sat night, she was very sniffly and sick and so I wouldn't blame her for complaining on any approach trail...hope you're feeling better lady.
