Someone at miguel's took one last Sunday and someone at work took one. I brought the one in today and everyone just went nutty - one of the guys, he and his wife have SEVEN CATS! and he said they wanted another! crazy, but hey, they completely spoil the ones they have, so you know he'd be taken care of!

OK, you guys and gals thinking of taking one of the cute little things...

I have three cats, and have had many over the years. They are awesome company! When you go away for the weekend just leave out lots of food and plenty of fresh water, a clean litter box (the self-cleaning kind is awesome) and they're fine. When I got my first one, I did get a second one soon after so he would have company while I was gone during the day or on weekends. They really do much better with a second cat. And once you have all you need for one cat, adding a second is really no extra work. I can't imaging having 7 though! The most I've ever had at one time is 4 and that was enough for me.

Surprisingly enough cats are trainable. They seem to come litter box trained, which always amazes me, but they can be taught not to scratch on furniture. Get them a carpet or scratching post, put it by their favorite place to sleep and show it to them a few times. They catch on quickly. They keep your feet warm in the winter and love you absolutely no matter what! Cats are great, so give a couple of these adorable little guys a good home. They also learn to get along with dogs just fine. Mine sleep and play together! Now, no excuses!

P.S. Don't declaw them if you don't really have to. It's pretty barbaric... like cutting off all your fingers at the first joint. They can still defend themselves just fine. Cats hold things with their front paws and claw what they are holding with their back legs... deadly!
