Wow. We're really surprised with all the offers to help. Adding those off the reflector, it looks like about 45 so far, and counting. And it has been only a day since the Karla's posting. Liz and I will be sure to have enough good food, soft drinks, water, and tee shirts available for the crowd -- whatever its size.
As Karla, Jared, and Tim have conceived this get-together and are running the show, the detailed questions can be directed to them. Karla is the Coordinator. General questions concerning Muir Valley can be directed to me.
Several people have asked about camping there. The answer is a qualified "yes." Because we don't have a campground yet, per se, we would like those who wish to camp please let us know in advance, so we can be sure there is a good place to set up. Looks like we can accomodate maybe ten tents. There will be portajons for this event, but when they are removed, we will not be able to have campers.
RRG climbers, we would like your suggestions and comments about setting up a permanent campground with facilities in the Valley. Because this is NOT a commercial venture and building campground facilities are not in our current "budget" (read that as "moneypit"), if we were to pay for a legal septic field, would anyone be interested in building a little building for showers and toilet facilities? Could it be maintained properly? No promises, but let's talk. You can PM us with suggestions and advice.
Rick and Liz

Oh yeah, Rick- I got my on board air working in my Jeep. So hook up a water line to my air line and you have a mobile pressure washer.

I am scheduled to work that weekend, but most likely will be able to make a trade. I definetely want to attend. I am sure the Muscatatuck crew will be represented.
I already have some tools at the Sanctuary (pick, clippers, etc) I did a little work on two switch backs up to the Sanctuary/Indy wall. You do not have to jump to the tree on the way down now! Also did poison ivy duty in the back section, and sickle weeded the section up.
Thank you Liz and Rick!
My project is as good as anything I have been on at the Red (ex Table, Legend, etc.).
THANKS!
