Thanks, guys! :D It's definitely a damn good route. I think Loren should be locked up for calling it easy, though.

I guess I am a fucking yankee but I also like climbing in the Red any time I can get 2or 3 days away from life's responsibilities.

Heat is what it is. Bring a towel. My "nickname" speaks for itself on how my body reacts to the heat and boy did the storm clouds form this weekend, just ask SikMonkey. As far as folks not wanting to climb in the sun and heat, rock on, because that means I'll have even more days of complete solitude (like yesterday)at Torrent.

Sometimes I get the peculiar sensation that you two have issues with each other? Am I reading this correctly?

When she talks about climbing in the heat and cold like a champ and hiking long, hard approaches like they're not long and hard...well, it just amazes me because I have NEVER seen her climb, even on days I've been outside with her or even at climbing gyms. She hangs around, smoking, yapping all kinds of info about climbs she has second-hand knowledge of. And that's cool and all but she shouldn't be talkin' like she's tougher than everyone else who IS out there climbing. It's just such a demeaning and belittling attitude...

IMO the heat sucks.. I can get up early and try climbing when it's only in the mid 70's but the humidity is still way too high.

for me the Red in the summer is time to lower my expectations, train endurance, check out new and different crags and do some trad.

I look forward to climbing at the red between mid Sept thru mid May.

That is a good plan, except for the trad part. Unless it is well travled trad routes at popular crags, trad climbing in the red during the summer sucks - bugs, snakes, dirty, lichens, moss, nettels, bushwacking, etc. No thanks. Sport climbing on jugs in the way to go this time of the year for sure. If you want to trad climb, then head to Vedauwoo or Squamish, 'cause the red is "hotter then two rats f*cking in a wool sock".
