GWG, I'm sure there are a lot of unreported break-ins. That's unfortunate. If victims kept law enforcement busy enough reporting these incidents, perhaps the police would take preventative measures? Or maybe that's just wishful thinking...

The note that was up at Miguel's Saturday was from the previous weekend(s).

I don't know. I only know that the note was old. Maybe it was just easier to leave it up since the break-ins were happening every weekend? I didn't hear about any break-ins this weekend, but that doesn't mean there weren't any. I did talk to some people who climbed at the Motherlode on Saturday and they didn't have any trouble.

Stupid as these bitches are, I doubt they'd want to leave any kind of pattern (other than location) behind, such as breaking in at 9:30am every Saturday morning. Wouldn't they be more inclined to wait a while in between break-ins? I seriously doubt the same thieves/vandals would do this weekend after weekend.

I agree with overloading the police with reports of break-ins. A great way to get the point across that crimes are being comitted on (more or less?) public, state-of-Kentucky roads, their jurisdiction. I just hope people understand that not reporting break-ins is NOT useless.

Maybe paying someone to sit in the parking lots vigil is a bit much. But to me it seems like the quickest remedy. I can't imagine any climber refusing to pay a small fee for that piece of mind...i know I would. And maybe this 'someone" could be someone different every day, not just the same person (I'm assuming climber) every time. Even daily shifts so that the 'guard' could go climb - like morning, midday, late afternoon...

Seems to me that a rotating shift is a great idea, like a designated driver,for a half day would work... we could develop a tradition with some kind of cool title and even funny hats or nerf batons...

Kenjo, if we began to overload the police with more reports it is most likely they will begin to investigate and come for "visits" more often. Which isn't the greatest thing in my opinion.

Young'n, now why did you have to go post that in a public forum? Anyways, the MPP is in Lee Co. which is not dry. BTW I was at a party at the Gendarme in Seneca, a dry county. A State Trooper stopped in, talk with John Markwell the owner, and then left out of there in a hurry when he heard some squealing tires.

Unfortunately most cops are pigs, former jocks with major issues that wouldn't hesitate to sodomize you with a plunger if you don't agree with getting a cavity search for no reason. Those MP's buttfucking young boys in Iraq? Former jocks and cops in the Army Reserves. Notice how many of them had their high school coaches commenting on how nice they were? That's because the fucking jocks are all in this shit together! Don't think they won't do the same thing to you if they get the chance. Oh yeah:
