yeah, i could get used to this. I like not being responsible for anything. I can just bitch and moan and abuse the people in authority...

watch this, i'll post some sweary words and see if they get moderated:

\%(^ $*(# $*(@^(# $%_ ($%as % (^)#$ ()*^#

wow, they're good!! But we should definitely try to sneak some stuff by them and see if they can keep up. I'd bet I can post more than they can moderate!! yea!

I voted no and explained myself in some other thread.

Here is another thought. Would we have to ban people if Ray wouldn't unleash his multipule personalities?

Any kind of admin moderation on Climbkentucky.com just sorta disappeared after awhile so posts got out of hand. It's like kids going all crazy when the parents go out of town. I think if posts get moderated for content more often then people will be more aware of what that fine line is and/or keep it to the flame room.

Prolly. Thing is you gotta do it from the start and stick too it. Its a pretty time consuming 'job' that I didn't do at the ole climbky mainly because I don't have the computer know how and secondly it was so far gone by the time it needed to be done.

JB and I had talked in the week or so before the old site got pulled. The day the old site went I called JB and let him know that it seemed someone(s) had other people's passwords and that the downword spiral had seemed to hit rock bottom and that JB should pull the plug. He told me he had already pulled it. I felt like we were in some missle command center and I was asking him to turn his key. Do you want to play a game?

I agree with Artsay...consistent moderation will hopefully take care of most of the problems. If a user continually and/or flagrently refuses to heed warnings then maybe banishment is the only recourse left.

I agree with the moderate from the beginning idea. That is the only way to keep things under control. You can ban all the users that you want or even ip's but all of those can be changed, and someone can get back on.
