Pazzo's on Limestone is great if you like pizza and beer and if the weather is good they might even open up their sweet new patio. Watch out for Wednesday though. That's pint night and the college crowd shows up in droves.

Holly Hill Inn--Their menu is straight off the farm, no shit. seasonal KY vegetables and meats. ($40/dinner or lunch) Housed in a victorian era house in Midway KY (20 mins away, 10 from the Horsepark). This place is hands down the best damn restaurant in our area, in my humble but hungry opinion. immaculate service and food. I can't say enough about this place.
Sugano's--the only real sushi place left in town where Japanese business men smoke and drink (a lot). Their udon noodles in bonito dashi is a breathe of fresh air. delicate and warms the soul and stomach ($30-50/meal)
Aguas Calientes tacqueria--off Alexandria near Versailles Road. forget the mexican chains. go to this place as it is the real deal. On the weekends they have homemade soups that kick ass and won't break the bank ($5 for more soup and tortillas that you can eat). Directly across the road is a place that ONLY makes Tortillas and you can buy a stack for less than $2. I'm talking fresh, warm corn tortillas straight from the old lady's oven.
Indy's Chicken--north broadway. It's a take-out only establishment but their spicy chicken is the shit. you can also get greens, mac and cheese, and/or potato wedges, or cobbler ($6/meal)
Meadowthorpe Cafe (Leestown Road). Local greasy spoon known for regional dishes like beans and cornbread, roast beef and mashed potato open faced sandwiches ($7/lunch)
Zaxby's chicken fingers (Leestown Road). It's a chain but forget that Cane's bullshit. Crinkle fries are served hot with paprika and cayenne sprinkled on them. ($7/ meal)
Proof (louisville) New Italian genre on main street. ($50-80 per meal). Worth the time and the drive. great culinary ideas executed perfectly: buffalo carpaccio, broiled octopus, rabbit with pasta
Gumbo Ya Ya's--on Harrodsburg Road. Cheap and filling portions of cajun food (jambalaya, maque choux, etc...). One of the benefits of this place is that the guy that runs it (Ross Compton) is quietly one of the mover and shakers of underground music not just in Lexington but the state! He's been promoting local and national acts and presenting them in various venues across the city...

I went to this place last month, and it was good. its a little pricey, but the food was good and the atmosphere was pretty cool.

Beside the Courtesy Acura Pontiac (SWEEEEEEET!) dealership out by the mall off N'ville Road behind the Men's Warehouse, sorta behind Bella Note where KY Hot Moon used to be. How's that for directions? Ahhh suburbia. Their website hasn't updated their move. http://eatatmasala.com/default.html
