Thesenga lost his credibility long ago. Even so, why do you care what the rags say? At least it will keep the droves of people away.

If the "droves of people" stayed out of Red River Gorge how many businesses would suffer?
Not a bitch.

Well let's be glad we something like the RRGCC to keep climbing open in the RRG. One could speculate that Miguel's and Mark's would suffer greatly if the entire DBNF was closed to climbing and the southern region got shut down.

Thanks RRGCC

SoIll sucks! Don't waste your time! Stay away!

When I read the article, I was "reading between the lines" that he actually liked it alot - it isn't Fontainebleau, but there's great bouldering and a great low-key scene. I do wish that he hadn't actually mentioned the Holies, though.

Dear piglet, Yeah, I read the article and I don't boulder very much but it just felt so ridiculous for this guy to be slamming So Ill bouldering and the midwest in general. It just felt like he was doing more than just criticizing bouldering. I love climbing at Jackson(Taylor's Falls ala Matt Samet) and Drapers and I have friends who are outstanding boulderers who boulder at both places and have a great time. It just felt very arrogant.
It's a tempest in teapot but he should just follow the maxim:
"If you can't say something nice about a climbing area..then shut the fuck up"

Hey Guys,
This article was just a pathetic attempt at humor by a not-so-talented writer. Why he chose the photographs he did remains a mystery to me, as good photographs could have made the negative article seem a bit more obsolete. Did anyone ever think that the Chancellors might have ASKED him to write such an article? Just a thought, but the pristine nature of these areas is what gives them their charm. Make the place look like a mecca and all of a sudden there's chalk all over everything and locals are fighting for a camping spot......
The fingers you have used to dial are too fat. To obtain a special dialing wand, please mash the keypad with you palm now...........
