A little tent industry 'insider' info: Mountain Hardwear is what TNF used to be. A few years ago, TNF went screwey and tried to 'cash in' on their brand name, they even went so far as to try an IPO (which bombed). When the company shifted from a serious outdoor gear company to a clothing brand, a bunch of their core clothing and tent designers split and set up Mountain Hardwear. TNF had to bring in all new designers, so MH is a 5 year old company with 20 years of tent design experience, and TNF is a 30 (?) year old company with 3 or 4 years of experience designing tents. Who are you going to trust for your protection?
