Nope. She bites my ass occasionally when she's herding me and I'm not doing what she wants. The last thing I need is a miniature snapping at me up the rock!!!!!!!

The funny thing is, Tori isnt a Rock climber, she's a gym/comp climber (which there is nothing wrong with that) Its just that she is made out look like she is a rock climber, everyone is getting the wrong idea which i dont think is right. I love Tori and her family to death, i would probably die for the girl, mainly cause i look at her as a little sister. but i do not agree with this portrail to tori being a rock climber. She could possibly be one of the top climbers in the world, but to me i feel she spends way to much time with photo shoots and interviews and all the other non sence that goes along with being famous. Tori and family if you happen to read this, please dont take offense to it, im just stating my views on it all, i still love all of you guys!!!!!!!!

I read a "interview" with Tori's monkey in a bouldering rag but can't seem to find a link to it. Curious George talked about how much it sucked to be hanging on that chalk bag, etc. It was pretty funny. Does anyone remember that?

I can only say that the girl is an industry unto herself.

Have any of you actually looked through her website. That girl is one HELL of an athlete. At 15 she's pole-vaulted over 12' AND managed to be an incredible climber. If she WEREN'T 15, I'd allow myself to drool a bit, but, given her age, I'll simply respect that she's more capable than 99.9% of the people on this board at moving her body through this world. As far as "selling out" to sponsorship and all the BS...that's just F'ing ridiculous. Lebron James signed a contract for $90 million to promote Rebok (sp). Does anyone here actually believe that James, or Jordan, or Kemp, or Barkley, or any professional athlete suddenly was catapulted to a higher plane of performance when they put on their sponsor's gear? The only thing Allen uses that might make the slightest damn bit of difference in her climbing ability is her shoes, and even then, given the vast variety of "high-end" shoes perple use and prefer, it's almost a crap-shoot THERE too. Every other name she is associated with is just that, a name. Free stuff she doesn't have to buy that isn't total crap, but really no better than other stuff NOT associated with her. All professional athletes have sponsors to SOME degree...ALL! Even your "alternative" ones, like snowboarders and skateboarders. Lets' not kid ourselves into believing that BECAUSE we climb, we all reach some Zen Master plane of consciousness and any corporate involvement in climbing is an abomination of climbing. Each indivudual has his/her own reasons for climbing and takes from the activity what they wish, along with runners, and cyclists and swimmers (who rule the earth ) and cornhole players.

I'm trying to get sponsorship from Life Fitness to do nothing more than pay for my entry fees for adventure races and triathlons and I'll promote their products by wearing logos, clothing, etc during the race. Entry fees for an entire season are maybe $300-400, a lot to a private party, but nothing for a corporation. I use LF products (design equipment for a company now owned by them), and feel no conflict saying it's good stuff. Why should Allen feel bad about accepting sponsorship from from companies who also make decent products that she uses?

You are all just jealous of her success in marketing. And that's all it is. Marketing success. So what of it.
You fags like to see someone fail so that you look better. Success through attrition. Bunch of fags . You need to start cheering for people who succeed and bring popularity to the sport. So more routes get bolted. More money is brought to the local economy and Nada starts looking like a real neighborhood instead of a post-tornado trailer park that it is!

Quit thinking about your own selfish ambitions and cheer the girl!!!!

First off, I really like her, she's an amazing athelete but I still think action figures are dumb. I dig climbers. I adore my friends and their ability astounds me. I have respect for climbers who see climbing as I do. I'm not saying it's right, it just is. Second, I truly doubt that she plays with her own action doll. Finally, her proceeds do not go to the Powell county neighborhoods.

Yes, her money is her money. BUT, the 10 year old girl who wants to grow up to be just like her who buys the action figure. She will make her parents take her to the gym and then they will eventually end up at the Red.They will top off their tanks at the Shell, they will enjoy a pizza at Miguels and will spend the night in abject luxury at Marks/True North hostel. Or in poverty with the rest of us at Miguels.But she will bring money in

So which would you rather have your niece/nephew play with. Barbies(who promote women as objects and the sum total of their worthis how 'beautiful' ,how big their tits get. It makes them look at men not for who they are but for how good the man can make them look or provide for them, thus subjugating the state of women even further!!.) OR for the nephew we have G.I. joe and his war machines.
I'm not even going to comment on that one, it's self explanitory.

OR as an alternative you have The TORI ALLEN Doll. Tori is a young girl who pushes herself in her sport and is on par or more capable than most men! She is strong,capable and beautiful and is not co-dependent.
