Climbing coalition-owned lands (partial list):
Laurel Knob, NC
Steele, AL
Deep Creek, TN
Jailhouse, CA
Carcass Crag, VT
Rumbling Bald boulders, NC
Lower Index Town Wall, WA
Farley Ledge, MA
Jamestown, AL
Bolton Quarry, VT
Boat Rock, GA
Hospital Boulders, AL
Holy Boulders, IL (pending)

And honestly, the hostility towards Muir Valley in general and the Webers in particular is one of the great shames of the RRG climbing community. Beyond just looking a gift horse in the mouth, many regular RRG climbers have shot the horse and continued to kick it while it is down. Truly disgraceful. Just climb there if you want, or don't, but keep your mouth shut and appreciate the generosity. The precedent set for future landowners considering sharing their land with the public is downright abysmal -- and believe me, there are many such landowners with just as much or more cliffline than Muir Valley.

Thank you for the list.

So there are many comparisons to draw upon, but not Muir vs. PMRP.

The advantage to PMRP is that you can have you dog with you, the advantage to Muir is you don't have to put up with other peoples dogs.

I support Muir. I support the PMRP.
We have enough to fight about like who wins in a fair fight
Tarzan or Flash Gordon?

I say Tarzan hands down, and he is a better climber.

If I'm taking my son, Muir is the obvious choice. If not, I have never had a specific preference. It's wherever the project is at the time. :)

There is no better, just different philosophies on land management. This shit needs to stop. There IS NO BETTER.
