You lucky sonofabitch! :D Also, you may want to start training now, lest you be cuckolded by a passing pro-climber. ;-)

Climbing with my significant other has always been very rewarding...however there are those times high up in the mtns where she decides to freak out for no apparent reason.....then at that point we are kinda just....F***ed.

It has worked out well for me. If she did not climb, I would not see much of her.

But, I do take time out and go climb the shit that I want too (months in Yosemite each year) and she is pretty cool with that. We have tried to do big walls together and it was pretty fun, but can get pretty stressful at times. Often in climbing you yell at your partner, and for some reason GF always take it very personal. You have to have thick skin in the mountains, because that shit is stressful!

You think that is stressful... try going climbing with your newbie gf, your two boys (ages 3 and 4.5) and her two boys (ages 3 and 6). That was a lesson in patience...

Your hair looked really pretty while you were sticking the crux move on that 5.6+ today. No, no, I barely tugged on your rope at all, darling.

more accurately: "I kinda want to go trad climbing today."
"Ewww no way I want to go to the Lode."
"I'm tired of going there we go there every day and it's too pumpy for me."
"Take one of your boyfriends if you want to go to shitty crag. It's not climbing, it's just playing with gear..."
