Ice Climbing potential in RRG?

went down today, along with several other short flows. ice is nice.

Problem is, favorable conditions for ice formation generally exist within a very short window of time. Makes me think that that the drips with truly spectacular potential, like the one off the lip of the big rockhouse near Eagle Point Buttress might be 100 year events, if they ever come in.

While nice ice lines would be nice in the gorge, I'm content with the 3 or 4 lines (ranging from 50-70 feet) that form within a mile from my house! They take about a week and a half of cold weather to form solid enough to be top-ropped, last year when we had about three weeks of cold, they were leadable. This year, with the yo-yo temps, they have formed and melted three times already!
