Does this logic hold?
There is some clues in the article I read:

"As it ambled off, he took some pictures of it with his iPhone.

I retreated down the trail and ducked into the woods," he said, but the bear followed.

Scott said he took a few more pictures, but the bear came closer, eventually getting within about 3 feet of him."

It sounds like he went paparazzi on the thing, even my dogs hate it when I do that, and so imagine when you do it to a bear.

DuppyC,
I haven't met you either and it's a good thing I haven't their is a difference in cockiness and brains and your quite a bit short on both and a complete moron. If you would care to read what the "victim" stated it makes no sense and he is lying-the story keeps changing. If you can't tell not all animals are supposed to be fuzzy-wuzzy creatures to be cuddled.

This bear incident was caused by provocation and I bet the "victim" tried to entice the bear to get closer to his iphone for better pictures.

Don't know if that logic holds or not. I do know that in the last few years I have been noticing more attacks by Black Bears in the news across the nation.

I am usually not a grammar corrector, but, since you brought brains back into the equation, you are right....THERE is a difference between brains and cockiness, and you are quite possibly short on one, long on the other. But, a complete moron? I doubt it.

You remain ignorant, b.c you must realize it does not matter if the animal was provoked. Your OP stated that this whole story should not be publicized, when in reality, information like this needs to be publicized in the interest of public safety. It's as simple as this: Recreationists wandering into bear country certainly plan differently than those knowing bears will not be around.

If you can deny that last sentence then I take back my statement on your ignorance and apologize for offending you. If not, I'll just live with disagreeing.

Can we just all agree that both of you are argumentative and end it with that? Snowpuppy and DuppyC are both cute user names, so there's something you both have in common.

Back to the bear, one way the could prove it's an aggressive bear is to find out if it's made of wood, so I called the park service and recommended that after they catch it, they should try and build a bridge out of it.

Bears aren't always aggressive Redpoint. Grrrrr Just don't get in between us and our food and our cubs or try to touch us on the old wazooo if you know what I mean grrrrrrr. Most of the time we don't even like the taste of people grrrrrr. Clowns taste funny, white people taste like vanilla, black people taste like chocolate, mexicans are too spicy and blonde haired chicks taste too much like tuna fish ewwwww and grrrrr.
