Lots of them.
And that number would be?

The problem is that when people get around their college buddies from Chicago or New York it turns into "I only live down there because of the climbing".

If climbing is the only thing that makes you proud to live in Kentucky, you are not a local.

What's funny is how you guys get extremely defensive and start grabbing at straws to defend yourselves over a fact (fact that most -if not all- recent cliff falls are from buckeyes). Rhunt, I'm not going to sort through the guidebook and count routes. Since you went off topic, feel free to do it yourself. But to make it easier on you - start with the Darkside.

Bcombs, I'm really not sure what your point is. What do people from NY or Chicago or whatever have to do with this?

Why are you all so defensive over a fact that really doesn't even apply to you ... or to rock climbing FAs?

so let's go further off topic. do be a "native", does that mean you were born in KY? just curious. cuz I was born in Louisiana, lived there for 6 weeks, and moved on. am I a cajun'? i need to know, cuz it sucks worse than Ohio for climbing.

I love cajun food and zydeco music.

Buckwheat Zydeco

My point is that when I lived in Lex all the UK kids would go on and on about how cool it was to be in KY. Next, their friends would come in from their home town and the story changes to "I'm just here for school". It's the same thing.

Pig, your birth certificate was washed away with Katrina. Unless you can provide something other then a certificate of live birth, we'll have to assume you are from Kenya. What do you know about climbing in Kenya.

bcombs, Not sure what they have to do with this, but cool
