I bet the shell station trash can would be a great place to deposit wag bags..

my bad, i guess i misread Meadows post. I thought she was implying that there would be container for depositing the bags, maybe she meant for supplying them?

With all the stuff getting ganked at the red lately I don't think it would be a good idea to hang shovels. But i guess most people who climb at the lode are more likely to be ethical than someone climbing at a gumby wall. I like the idea of signs or a tshirt.

If someone was willing to buy a pooper scooper and a radiation suit I would go pick that shit up .

as weird as this sounds, why not have somthing like a pooper scooper and a waste bucket for the lode. every one or two weeks someone just takes the garage bag out and tosses it.

Cleveland - I have a pooper scooper and the Lode is no exception. That crag especially sees people from all over such as Euros who supposedly don't have issues with where to place their deposits.

OK, so here is the thing. You are not just dealing with smelly poop, you are dealing with a whole host of health hazards. IMO, it's not a good idea to try to collect waste in any form, not even in wag bags. Also, the shared shovel thing is just gross. I don't even like to touch my own shovel, let alone the one that some jackhole just put back after he wiped his ass and got a little on his hands.

IMO, we do what everyone else does.. posts signs, try to educate, and hope for the best.

I have my hep vaccines, i would pick up a bag of shit....

But you are right, there is definitely some grossness with sharing a shovel. I dont think its a big deal for people to pack out their own waste, though.

Signs and awarness are step 1, for sure!
